Terms of Service

By accessing or using UnsubSpam (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and UnsubSpam. You must be at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction.

UnsubSpam is an inbox-cleaning tool that connects to your email account via OAuth and helps you:

• ✓Scan your inbox to identify newsletters, promotions, and notification senders
• ✓Submit unsubscribe requests on your behalf using the List-Unsubscribe headers in your emails
• ✓Delete or trash emails from senders you choose to remove

The Service currently supports Gmail (via Google OAuth) and Outlook / Microsoft 365 (via Microsoft OAuth). All actions are performed on your explicit instruction — we do not take any automated action without your consent.

By using UnsubSpam you confirm that:

• ✓You are the authorised owner or user of the email account you connect
• ✓You are responsible for any actions taken on your account through the Service
• ✓You will not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• ✓You will keep your login credentials and account access secure

You grant UnsubSpam access to your email account solely to perform the functions described above. You may revoke this access at any time from your Google or Microsoft account settings.

We want to be transparent about how the Service works:

• ✓We do not store your emails, email content, or sender lists in any database
• ✓We do not read the body or subject line of your emails — only the From and List-Unsubscribe headers
• ✓We act as a proxy when submitting unsubscribe requests — we do not log those requests or tie them to your identity
• ✓We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties for marketing purposes
• ✓We do not take any action on your account unless you explicitly request it

Scan results exist only in your browser session and are discarded when you close or leave the page. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

UnsubSpam offers a Pro plan at $5 per month, which unlocks higher scan limits and additional features. Free tier limitations are displayed within the Service.

• ✓Pro subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically
• ✓You may cancel at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• ✓We do not offer refunds except within a 7-day window from your initial subscription date
• ✓To request a refund within that window, contact us at hello@unsubspam.com
• ✓After 7 days, all charges are final

We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. If pricing changes materially, we will notify active subscribers by email before the change takes effect.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, UnsubSpam makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding reliability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

In particular, we are not responsible for:

• ✓Unsubscribe requests that fail, are ignored, or do not result in removal from a mailing list
• ✓Emails that are deleted or trashed by your explicit instruction that you later wish to recover
• ✓Disruptions to your email service caused by actions taken through our Service
• ✓Third-party senders who continue to email you after an unsubscribe request is submitted

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.

You may stop using the Service and revoke our OAuth access at any time. If you have a paid subscription, cancellation will apply from the end of your current billing period.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service without notice if we reasonably believe you are:

• ✓Abusing the Service in a way that affects other users or our infrastructure
• ✓Using the Service to access email accounts you are not authorised to access
• ✓Acting in breach of these Terms or applicable law

If your account is terminated for abuse, no refund will be issued for any remaining subscription period.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you — for example by displaying a notice in the Service or emailing you if you have a paid account.

Continued use of UnsubSpam after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with the new Terms, you should stop using the Service and cancel any subscription.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
