Terms of Service

By accessing or using UnsubSpam (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and UnsubSpam, operated from New Zealand. You must be at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction.

UnsubSpam is an inbox-cleaning tool that connects to your email account via OAuth and helps you:

• –Scan your inbox to identify newsletters, promotions, and notification senders
• –Submit unsubscribe requests on your behalf using the List-Unsubscribe headers in your emails
• –Delete or trash emails from senders you choose to remove

The Service currently supports Gmail (via Google OAuth), with Outlook / Microsoft 365 support planned. All actions are performed on your explicit instruction — we do not take any automated action without your consent.

UnsubSpam offers a Pro plan that unlocks higher scan limits and additional features. Free tier limitations are displayed within the Service.

• –Pro subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis
• –Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
• –You may cancel at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• –7-day money-back guarantee: if you are not satisfied within 7 days of your first payment, contact us for a full refund
• –After 7 days, all charges are final

To request a refund or cancel your subscription, contact us at hello@unsubspam.com. We will confirm cancellation within 1 business day.

We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Active subscribers will be notified by email before any price change takes effect.

You may only use UnsubSpam with Gmail or Outlook / Microsoft 365 accounts that you own or are authorised to manage. The following uses are prohibited:

• –Connecting email accounts you do not own or are not authorised to access
• –Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse our API or infrastructure
• –Using the Service in any way that violates applicable law or third-party terms of service
• –Reselling or redistributing access to the Service without our written permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these rules are being violated. No refund will be issued upon termination for abuse.

We act as a tool on your behalf. To be clear about the boundaries:

• –We do not store your emails, email content, or sender lists in any database
• –We only read email headers (From and List-Unsubscribe) — never the body or subject
• –We act as a proxy for unsubscribe requests and do not log those requests
• –We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties for any marketing purpose
• –We do not take any action on your account unless you explicitly request it

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, UnsubSpam makes no warranties — express or implied — regarding reliability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

In particular, we are not responsible for:

• –Unsubscribe requests that fail, are ignored, or do not result in removal from a mailing list
• –Emails deleted or trashed at your instruction that you later wish to recover
• –Disruptions to your email service caused by actions taken through UnsubSpam
• –Third-party senders who continue to email you after an unsubscribe request is submitted

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim, or NZD $50, whichever is greater.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you — for example by displaying a notice in the Service or emailing you if you have a paid account. Continued use of UnsubSpam after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
